Deputy Major General Ashraf Rifi issued a statement in which he said: “Congratulations to the Christian forces that valiantly defended the dignity of their youth and sons, so they were released in the military court in the case of the Tayouneh events.”
He added, “We hope for the release of the oppressed in the Khaldeh incident, whom Hezbollah brazenly assaulted, and when they revolted for their dignity, more than 20 of them were arrested, and most of them are still detained in the military court. It is a game of balance and ability to protect, not a question of justice and law. No. It will not be equal in summer and winter under one roof.”
He concluded, “All Sunni representatives and references are required to keep this just cause in mind.”
