At least 22 police officers were injured as a result of riots at a festival in Giessen, Germany. The event was organized by the Central Council of Eritreans in Germany, reports TASS.
Festival participants started throwing stones at police officers, lit smoke bombs and tried to break through police cordons. Law enforcement officers responded with tear gas and water cannons. About 60 people were detained.
Last year, there were also riots at the same event, injuring more than 20 attendees and several police officers.
