On Saturday, a person was the victim of a robbery in the city center of Liège. Two people snatched his gold chain before fleeing on foot.
Later in the evening, the victim found the perpetrators of the theft and therefore contacted the police. When the police arrived on the scene, three people were apprehended. One of them was released for lack of evidence. The other two individuals were referred this Sunday to the Liège prosecutor’s office.
The two suspects were born in 1996 and 2001. One of them was wearing the chain around his neck when he was arrested while the other was identified by the victim as the person who pulled on his chain during the flight.
The two men who are illegally staying in Belgium were deprived of their liberty and brought before the Liège prosecutor’s office. Their file was placed under investigation and an application for an arrest warrant was made once morest them.
