25 years Robbie Williams: 25 years ago, in 1997, Robbie Williams started his solo career and delighted us with mega hits like “Let Me Entertain You” and “Angels” on his first album “Life Thru A Lens”. Not least because of his rousing live shows, Robbie Williams is one of THE pop icons of our time.
It wasn’t until September 9th that he published his Anniversary album “XXV”, on which Robbie’s countless #1 hits have been re-orchestrated by Jules Buckley, Guy Chambers and Steve Sidwell and re-recorded in the Netherlands with the renowned Metropole Orkest. With tracks like “Millennium”, “She’s The One”, “Supreme”, “Kids” and “Rock DJ”, the record “XXV” broke a record: According to the “Daily Mail”, “XXV” landed on April 16. September at the top of the official British album charts – which means Robbie Williams now 14 number one albums can call his own and displaces the longtime record holder Elvis Presley.
