Romeo Beckham (21) and model girlfriend Mia Regan (21) have announced their separation. Both published a statement about this in an Instagram story. David, 48, and Victoria, 49, Beckham’s son posted a snap of both of them sticking their tongues out during an outing and captioned the picture: “Mooch and I have separated after five years of love, we still have a lot of love and Respect for each other and still have a strong friendship that will always last.”
Mia Regan also published a couple photo in which the two are eating ice cream and kissing the camera, and wrote in her story: “This is Ro, we grew up together since we were 16. Love takes different forms and paths as you grow up.” The romantic connection hasn’t gotten any stronger, “but we share a lot, a lot of love for each other,” explains Regan, jokingly adding that after five years the two are now in the “friend zone.”
Shared apartment before separation
The couple had been dating since 2019. The Daily Mail recently reported that the Beckham offspring had left his luxurious parents’ home in London and moved into a new apartment with Regan. It was previously reported that the soccer player gave up his football career in the USA for his partner because Regan was struggling with the long-distance relationship. In the meantime, speculation about a separation was also making the rounds.
A source now told the Daily Mirror: “Mia has apparently moved out of the apartment they shared and is now living with her parents. They have broken up and gotten back together in the past, but this time it seems to be more serious.” Romeo really felt “that Mia was the one for him and when he returned to Brentford he wanted to try again. Unfortunately, they appear to have encountered another obstacle and only time will tell if they will reconcile.” According to the insider, “it would be a shame if they didn’t make it, because Mia is a big favorite of Romeo’s family. But at the end of the day, everyone just wants them both to be happy.”
Mia was an integral part of the Beckham clan and had a good relationship with Romeo’s little sister Harper Seven and mother Victoria. She commented on Mia’s Instagram post two days ago. “Beautiful!! Kisses,” the 49-year-old wrote about photos that show the model on the set of a Gucci shoot.
