Romeo Santos, the “King of Bachata” reaffirmed his reign this Friday night in his hometown, New York, before more than 40,000 people, embracing his Dominican roots.
As part of his tremendous concert at Citi Field, the singer-songwriter of Dominican origin brought together merengue legends Ramon Orlando, Fernando Villalona, Rubby Pérez and Toño Rosario at the iconic venue, in a segment where Dominicanness took over those present.
“15, 500 nights”, the merengue from his album Formula Vol. 3 that gives its name to the tour, made the Dominican rhythm resound in the voices of “romeistas” who took over the emblematic home of the New York Mets.
In addition to the popular merengueros, the interpreter of “Bebo” also had Natti Natasha as a guest, with whom he performed “The best version of me” for the first time.
With this sold out, Santos continues to make history by being one of the only Latino artists to fill multiple dates at iconic stadiums in the tri-state area, including Yankee Stadium and Metlife Stadium.
Romeo Santos recently announced that he will perform at the Forum in Inglewood, CA on October 8, adding to the 22 concerts of his US tour in the fall.
