The airline Royal Air Maroc (government) announced on Saturday the cancellation of its flights to Israel due to the deterioration of the situation.

In a statement, Air Maroc said it had “cancelled its flights scheduled until October 13.”

The press release specified that the cancellation also concerns its flight, scheduled for the evening, between Casablanca and Tel Aviv, as well as tomorrow’s flight, Sunday.

At the end of 2020, Morocco and Israel signed a normalization agreement under which diplomatic relations frozen in 2000, during the second Intifada, resumed.

Saturday morning, the “Al-Qassam Brigades”, the armed wing of the Hamas movement, announced the launch from Gaza of a military operation called “Al-Aqsa Flood”, “with a first strike targeting enemy sites, airports and military fortifications.
