A fire broke out this Sunday late followingnoon in rue du Blanc-Ry in Ottignies. Contacted by us, here is the information transmitted by the mayor. “Emergency services were called around 6 p.m. They were there very quickly. Unfortunately, the fire was already very large at that point. They might only note that, upon entering the premises, there were visibly two victims. This still needs to be confirmed. The fire is not yet completely under control. They are still busy at the moment“, indicated Julie Chantry.
It is still too early this Sunday evening to determine the origin of the fire. Firefighters were still working to contain the fire. They should be busy most of the night, perhaps even into Monday morning. The house is no longer habitable.
