Saudi Arabia recorded new history by sending its first representative to the international beauty pageant, Miss Universe. In the prestigious contest which will be held in September 2024, Saudi Arabia will be represented by Rumy Alqahtani.
Rumy Alqahtani said she was proud to be the first Saudi Arabian woman to take part in Miss Universe. Through his Instagram account, Rumy expressed his pride for this opportunity.
“With my humility, I am honored to represent the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Miss Universe 2024 competition. This is a historic step for our country,” wrote Rumy Alqahtani (@rumy_alqahtani) on Tuesday (26/3).
In the photo she uploaded, Rumy looks stunning wearing a gold bodycon tube dress filled with sparkling crystal sprinkles, while holding the Saudi Arabian flag proudly. She looked elegant with a sash that read ‘Miss Universe Saudi Arabia’ across her shoulders, and a tiara crown that added to her charm.
Rumy Alqahtani is not a new figure in the world of modeling in Saudi Arabia. The 27 year old model has participated in various beauty pageants at national and international levels, such as Miss Saudi Arabia, Miss Arab Peace, Miss Woman Saudi Arabia, Miss Europe Saudi Arabia, Miss Planet Saudi Arabia, Miss Middle East Saudi Arabia, Miss Arab Unity Saudi Arabia, and Miss Asia Saudi Arabia.
Apart from that, Rumy is also known as an activist on social media. She often shares beauty tips and makeup tricks with her followers.
