5,563,959 Ukrainians left their country from February 24, the day of the beginning of the Russian invasion of the territory.
The data comes from the monitoring carried out by the UNHCR, an agency dealing with the problem of forced migration of United Nations.
By far the most popular departure destination for those fleeing war is Polandwhere they went more than 3 million Ukrainians. The second option, Romania, received 826 thousand.
Refugees are also registered in the Russian Federation itself (third alternative), Hungary, Moldova, Slovakia and Belarus.
