Beyond the capital, Russian strikes hit industrial sites, energy facilities, and infrastructure in the Poltava and Odesa regions, as well as the city of Kryvyi Rih. The Russian defence ministry stated that Moscow struck steelworks in Kryvyi Rih and Zaporizhzhia, an oil refinery in Poltava, logistics centers around Kyiv, and three ports in the Odesa region. The strikes also delayed train services across multiple regions, leaving passengers stranded for extended periods. In the Odesa area, a multi-story building was damaged and people were injured. In Moldova, local authorities reported that six Russian drones crossed into neighboring airspace, prompting President Maia Sandu to strongly condemn the intimidation after one drone was found on Moldovan territory.

The latest attacks underscore ongoing supply pressures on Ukraine’s air defense. While intercept rates have shown improvement following recent interceptor supply shortages, short supplies continue to leave the country vulnerable to Russia’s air war. In a related e-commerce logistics campaign, Ukraine has targeted several facilities run by online retailer Ozon as part of actions against e-commerce giants that Kyiv says underpin Russia’s war effort. A drone attack temporarily closed an Ozon logistics complex in Ufa, according to the company.
On the diplomatic and military support front, Ukraine secured further pledges of backing from allies. Britain announced it will allow Kyiv access to classified technology to begin its own production of Storm Shadow cruise missiles. In response, Moscow warned that it could strike British military targets both inside and outside Ukraine in retaliation for Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory carried out using British weapons.
