Missile attack kills 12 people aged 17 to 77, seriously injures 40
[Kryvy Rych, central Ukraine]As the Ukrainian counteroffensive intensified, the Russian military launched air-to-ground cruise missiles Kh-101/Kh- from Tu-95 strategic bombers over the Caspian Sea in the early hours of June 13. Fourteen Shahed 136/131 Iranian kamikaze drones (suicide unmanned aerial vehicles) attacked Ukraine from the south while firing 14 555s.
Ten missiles and a drone were shot down by Ukrainian forces, but one of the remaining missiles hit a five-story apartment complex in Kryvy Rif, leaving 12, including a 3-month-old baby, out of the blazing flames. people were rescued. Other missiles hit shipping companies and warehouses. Twelve people between the ages of 17 and 77 died and 40 were seriously injured in homes and warehouses. Nine of them are in critical condition.
More than 70 buildings, including seven nine-story buildings, eight four-story buildings, and 55 five-story buildings, as well as three schools, three educational colleges and vocational schools, and one dormitory were damaged in the attack. About 400 apartment complexes were damaged, and more than 1,300 apartment complexes and entrance windows were shattered. The roofs of 10 buildings were damaged. Krivy Rif is the birthplace of President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, where his parents still live.
