Russian official: Washington, London and Kiev were behind the terrorist attack on a banquet hall in Moscow

Moscow – The head of the Russian Federal Security Service, Alexander Bortnikov, yesterday, Tuesday, accused the United States of America, Britain, and Ukraine of being behind the terrorist attack on a banquet hall in Moscow.

This came in response to a journalist’s question about whether or not the United States of America, Britain, and Ukraine were behind the terrorist attack in Moscow. He replied, “We believe that is the case.”

He said: “The criminals intended to escape across the border into the territory of Ukraine. According to our initial field information, there were those waiting for them (…) They on the other side wanted to welcome them as heroes.”

Bortnikov stated that it has not yet been determined who requested this crime to be carried out, “but the Russian security services see who organized and recruited the perpetrators.”

He also claimed that Ukraine is preparing and training militants in the Middle East, and that the presence of people of different nationalities fighting on the front against Russia is an indication of this.

He said that the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) should be classified as a “terrorist organization.”

Earlier Tuesday, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, accused Ukraine of being behind the terrorist attack that took place in the capital, Moscow, on Friday, and claimed the lives of 139 people.

In response to a question about whether ISIS or Ukraine was responsible for the attack on the concert hall, Patrushev said: “Of course, Ukraine,” according to the TASS news agency.

On Monday, the Russian Investigative Committee announced that the death toll from the terrorist attack that occurred in Moscow on Friday had risen to 139, including 3 children, and 182 people were injured.

The Russian Federal Security Service reported in a statement that 11 people had been arrested, including 4 terrorists directly involved in the attack, and that efforts were continuing to identify their accomplices.

Scenes circulating on social media showed that the attackers opened fire randomly in the hall, and a fire broke out in the roof of the building, which led to its collapse later.

On Friday evening, the ISIS terrorist organization claimed that its members carried out the attack that occurred in the Russian capital, Moscow.
