Johannesburg: In the absence of Virat Kohli, KL Rahul led India in the Wanderers’ second Test against South Africa (South Africa vs India 2nd Test). India won the first Test under Kohli and conceded defeat at Wanderers under Rahul. Legendary cricketer and commentator Sunil Gavaskar says that it was Rahul’s ploy that led India to defeat in Johannesburg.
‘This is the first time India have lost a Test match in which Virat Kohli could not play. Won or draws most matches without goalie. Virat Kohli will return for the third and final Test of the series starting on Tuesday in Cape Town. Kohli did not play for Wanderers due to back pain. Both teams have won each Test, drawing 1-1. India won the first Test by 113 runs, while South Africa won by seven wickets at Wanderers. India can win Test series in South Africa for the first time in history if they win in Cape Town.
