Cape Town: Former skipper Sunil Gavaskar slams Indian opener Mayank Agarwal over poor shot selection in the first innings of the third Test against South Africa (South Africa vs India 3rd Test). On the first day, Mayank was caught in the second slip by Edge as he was bowled by Proteas pacer Kagiso Rabada for 15 runs. Earlier, Mayank’s life had fallen to zero.
‘Agarwal is a great player when he hits the ball in the middle of the bat. When the ball moves slightly, that bat causes speed problems. We saw the edge when the individual score stood at zero.
