A bizarre theft occupies the police in Saalfelden: between August 29 and 31, previously unknown perpetrators stole a bronze sculpture from the “Rösslbrücke” in Saalfelden. The sculpture in the form of a horse foal was mounted next to the federal highway 164 in the Uttenhofen district of Saalfelden.
According to the police report, the sculpture weighs around 150 kilos and is 130 cm tall. The damage is in the five-digit range.
The sculpture, owned by the municipality of Saalfelden, was placed on the side of the road next to a bridge over the Urslau. The bridge is therefore popularly known as the “Rösslbrücke”. The sculpture is a bronze cast of a foal standing on a pedestal.
