Sadyr Japarov spoke at the extraordinary UTC Summit in Ankara

“In a rapidly changing world, our regional cooperation is becoming a more influential and effective tool in modern interstate relations,” President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov said today, March 16, speaking at an extraordinary meeting of the Summit of the Heads of the Organization of Turkic States in Ankara (Republic of Turkey ).

In his speech, the Head of State noted that today’s Summit is taking place in a special situation. The entire world community was shocked by the news of the earthquake in southern Turkey, which caused huge destruction and loss of life.

“The earthquake that occurred is a great tragedy. The Kyrgyz people share the grief of our Turkish brothers who are experiencing the severe consequences of the disaster. This is also a test of the Almighty. Once again, I offer sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the victims. I believe that the Turkish people will adequately come out of This test will become even stronger. We once again confirm that we are ready to support and assist in all efforts of the Turkish government to eliminate the consequences of the earthquake in these difficult times,” Sadyr Japarov stressed.

The President highly appreciated the combined efforts of the Turkic world to provide assistance and support to Turkey. From the first days of the earthquakes, rescue teams, field hospitals, medical staff, technical equipment and humanitarian aid from the Turkic countries were sent to the disaster-stricken regions of Turkey. The Kyrgyz Republic took this pain of the people of Turkey as its own and from the first days of the tragedy mobilized its efforts to eliminate the consequences of the earthquakes. Kyrgyzstan participated in the work in the earthquake zone from the search? ?-rescue squad of 182 people, which included rescuers, doctors and cynologists.

At the same time, the Head of State said that numerous students studying in Turkey volunteered to go to the disaster zone. In Kyrgyzstan, citizens still continue to transfer money to a special account. Points for the collection of humanitarian aid were opened throughout the country, and ordinary citizens of the country also remained indifferent to the situation.

Taking the opportunity, Sadyr Japarov thanked the Kazakh and Uzbek brothers for their help in the evacuation of Kyrgyz citizens who remained in the affected areas of Turkey.

The President noted that the Kyrgyz side attaches great importance to regular high-level meetings between the member states of our Organization. The high level of political dialogue between the participating countries is maintained.

The head of state stressed that Kyrgyzstan is determined to continue active cooperation with the fraternal Azerbaijani side in all areas of cooperation. He expressed gratitude to Ilham Aliyev for his personal attention to the issue of deepening and strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

At the same time, Sadyr Japarov noted the personal contribution of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the development of bilateral relations with fraternal Kazakhstan and the strengthening of bilateral partnership.

With great satisfaction, the President stated the successful state visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan in January this year, during which the completion of the negotiation process on the main sections of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border with the signing of the relevant agreement, which was ratified by the parties, became a historic achievement.

In addition, Sadyr Japarov emphasized the friendly relations and cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary, which are developing in active dynamics on the basis of strategic partnership.

The President also expressed confidence in the future expansion of the Organization, noting the participation of the high delegation of fraternal Turkmenistan. The Kyrgyz side is looking forward to the state visit of the President of the country Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Kyrgyzstan.

During his speech, the Head of State focused on the fact that the Organization for a short period of its existence has already become an effective mechanism for developing cooperation between the peoples and countries participating in the UTC, clearly demonstrating solidarity and unity in the international arena.

Noting the theme of the Summit, the President noted that in connection with the recent unfortunate events in Turkey, it became necessary to create a mechanism for collective prevention and forecasting of crisis situations. In this regard, the initiative of the Turkish side to create a mechanism for the civil protection of the Turkic states through the ministries of emergency situations is welcomed. In turn, Kyrgyzstan is always ready to share its experience in this area and contribute to the common cause of preventing and eliminating the consequences of natural disasters. ?action.
