A worrying inflation context

France had a very difficult year in terms of savings. Indeed, the French had to face many price increases. And this, whether in the food sector, oil and many others. Over the months, the government has tried to help the most modest households. Whether by creating new aids, or by upgrading others. What’s better thana fresh start for a new year ? For 2023, a salary increase is likely to impact many sectors of activity. And this, to help the French to rebuild and keep up with the rising cost of living. It should be added that the skyrocketing inflation in the territory has left many households in total disarray. Many professions will therefore increase their salaries in order to remain attractive to professionals seeking financial security and stability.

The recruitment firm Michael Page recently carried out a study on remuneration in nearly 800 professions, and therefore 24 different sectors of activity. It must be said that the results could shock more than one. Inflation has wreaked havoc on the territory, leaving many French people in a financial panic. It was therefore necessary to review the salaries of the most impacted professions. In January 2023, the government intends to increase the wages of many trades. It therefore remains to be seen which trades will be able to take advantage of the best discounts. The study therefore sought to identify the professions which should know a salary increase in 2023. According to the statements of the firm, we will then find the following areas : engineering, pharmaceutical industry, finance as well as information technologies (IT). These very dynamic fields will be able to benefit from wage increases during the beginning of next year.

With the current context, it seems wise to increase the salaries of these professions and therefore increase attractiveness to skilled professionals.

But that’s not all! Indeed, many other sectors of activity will see their wages increase significantly. Pour l’IT for example, project managers will experience increases of almost 5%. Or system and network administrators (+6%) and data engineers (+8%). do not forget finance professions. Having a great importance nowadays, it turns out that these trades will experience salary increases in the months to come. The managing director of Michael Page, the recruitment firm that initiated this study, gave some details on the recruitment processes. « When you’re being chased directly by a company or recruiting firm, but you feel good about your company and don’t want to leave, it can be helpful to let it shine through smartly. The employer will be keen to thank you for choosing to stay, either immediately or during the annual salary increase. “, therefore underlined Laurent Blanchard.
