After its merger, TelevisaUnivisión has surprised its audience by bringing new proposals and promising that they will generate attractive content, both for the Mexican public and for Latinos living in the United States, which is why they announced the creation of the Vix+ streaming platform.

To the surprise of many fans, it was revealed that Salma Hayek will be one of the main producers.

The site “Variety” announced that Hayek and his production company, “Ventanarosa Productions” would make a two-year alliance with TelevisaUnivisión, and now this is a reality.

In addition, the first promos were published, with some prominent company figures such as Sebastián Rulli, Angelique Boyer, José Ron, Andrés Palacios, Brandon Peniche, Alexis Ayala and the presence of Yalitza Aparicio, Selena Gómez and Salma Hayek.

Salma Hayek Productions on Vix+

According to a statement, the first production made by the Veracruz will be “I want your life.” “Follow Nico, a young soccer player whose career comes to a halt when he is seriously injured on the pitch. Eight years later, a bitter Nico continues to fantasize about what his life could have been. When given the magical opportunity to live the life he envisioned, he realizes that fame and glory can be illusory and that happiness can come in the most surprising ways,” the revealed synopsis tells us.

The direction will be in charge of Jorge Colón, remembered for the film “Tired of kissing frogs”.

It should be noted that Salma expressed her excitement at returning to the television station that saw her born and embarking on her way to Hollywood, as we remember that one of her most iconic stories was “Teresa”, from 1989.

“I started my career in Mexico making telenovelas, so to be able to go back and make movies is very exciting, since cinema is my first love. I am moved by the enormous support that the Latino community has always given me. Along with our partners at TelevisaUnivision, ‘Ventanarosa’ looks forward to working with Latino talent to tell new stories from Spanish-speaking voices,” Hayek told “Variety.”

About Vix +

It should be mentioned that Vix is already a platform that is currently available in the app stores of some smart televisions, it is free and offers series and movies, but it was acquired by Univisión some time ago.

Thus, in search of innovation, TelevisaUnivisión has decided to resume it, and from March 31 it will have more than 50 thousand hours of content for the Hispanic public.

Something that is not clear is if it will become a paid service or if it will remain free.

Another of the doubts that arise is knowing what will happen to Blim, which is the current platform on which Televisa has all its content.
