Art critic Tariq Al-Shennawi insisted on his opinion, which he said in previous statements, that the talk of the late artist Samir Sabry, about his son, was just a white lie and a wild imagination or a legitimate desire and a dream that did not come true.
Al-Shennawi said, during a telephone interview with Dr. Muhammad Al-Baz, on the “Akher Al-Nahar” program broadcast on the “Al-Nahar” satellite channel: “Everyone has many desires in his life that he did not fulfill, and Samir was once forced to say that he had given birth, and after 20 years when they asked him, he began to get confused because they It was not a fact, and it was not considered a lie or an accusation, and he was not insulted.
He expressed his condemnation of the conflicting statements about Samir Sabry’s birth, saying: “There is a difference between knowing the artist’s history and gossip, for example, I could not say that he did not marry because there is an oral marriage and a customary marriage.
He criticized the speech of the make-up artist, Muhammad Ashoub, saying: “What he said was a fatal mistake, entering into areas that are not permissible and defaming symptoms, so if we want to write a portrait of Samir Sabry, we will mention that he wished to have a child.”
He continued, “Samir believed his wish and loved it. He is an actor and presents many roles. Why does he not play the role of a father? He lived the story of a father that did not come true and he has the right to live it because it did not harm anyone.”
