As if there weren’t already enough evidence (including speculation) pointing to the development of devices from the Apple com folding screenswe can now say that the Samsung practically confirmed these plans.
In this sense, according information from Patently Applean executive from the South Korean giant claimed, during an event in Seoul, that Samsung Display is working with LG Display to create a 20 inch folding screen for Apple.
To that end, the company said it’s working on some key issues to “meet Apple’s high standards,” including signs of cracking/creasing when folding, compressive stress, inconsistent texture, bending torque, dropping issues, and pen/pencil support, according to the report.
During the event, the South Korean did not go into detail about the specifications of this folding device, but Baek Sueng-inchief executive of Samsung, spoke about how Apple’s entry into this market is a “necessary condition” for foldables as a whole to succeed.
Of course, such a device could either be a model of iPad how much of MacBook; in fact, Samsung itself has predicted, in late 2022, that Apple’s first foldable computers and tablets will arrive by next year.
