Samsung Gaming Hub: Smart Tvs from the brand want to take the console off your bench

In order to make its Smart TVs even more useful, Samsung has just announced the arrival of the Samsung Gaming Hub, an interactive platform available on some models of the brand’s TVs that allows you to play some of the main titles on the gaming market through the cloud.

Initially aimed at a more casual audience, the proposal takes away from the user the need to necessarily have a console or a good computer to play. According to the brand, just connect your control to the TV, access the service in the TV menu, enter and subscribe to one of the game streaming applications available and enjoy.

“Game streaming technology allows users to play online, without the need to download and worry about storage, all directly from the cloud. In addition, we have partnered with industry giants such as Xbox and Nvidia, to bring the best titles on the market, including classics and major releases”, said Thiago Cesar, marketing director at the Consumer Electronics Division of Samsung Brazil.

Of course, to play, in addition to having a compatible TV, the user will still need a good internet connection. That’s because all game data processing takes place in the cloud, on services like Xbox Game Pass.

In addition, a game controller is required. This can be connected both via Bluetooth and via USB. According to Samsung, the Gaming Hub is compatible with several brands of controllers, from the most traditional, such as Xbox and Sony, to brands such as Logitech, PowerA and Joytron.
