Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced that FIFA+ is the latest global addition to the channel roster of Samsung TV Plus, its free streaming TV (FAST – Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV). This new addition is part of the continued growth of Samsung’s sports offerings available to its users.

The free FIFA+ channel on Samsung TV Plus features an extensive collection of FIFA+ originals, the Archive and highlights from the men’s and women’s games. Additionally, users in Brazil and Italy can watch full FIFA Women’s World Cup™ matches live on Samsung TV Plus.

The technology partnership builds on existing global sports content on Samsung TVs, which includes the DAZN Tizen app, DAZN FAST+ (Germany and Austria) and DAZN Women’s Football Channel (Australia and New Zealand), the Tennis Channel (Austria, Germany, India, Netherlands, Switzerland, UK), DraftKings Network (US), CBS Sports HQ (US) and more on Samsung TV Plus.

Samsung TV Plus is the device maker’s free source of entertainment and sport, delivering thousands of TV shows and movies to millions of Samsung Smart TVs. In many countries, it is also available on Galaxy devices, select Family Hub refrigerators, and on the web.

“We are extremely excited to add the FIFA+ channel to our sports content offering on Samsung TV Plus,” commented Aline Jabbour, Business Development Director, Samsung TV Plus, LATAM. “Latin American audiences are passionate about football, and the timing couldn’t be better, with the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup™. Our audience will be able to enjoy the games and content that will mark the next chapter in women’s football.”

The announcement comes as the highly anticipated 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup™ takes place in Australia and New Zealand.

FIFA+ will give customers access to thousands of hours of unrivaled content about football’s greatest stars. FIFA Originals will feature full-length documentaries, mini-series, talk shows and short films that tell the world’s stories about men’s and women’s football. Among them are “The Happiest Man in the World” (the genius, innovator, mentor and revolutionary Ronaldinho), “Croatia: Defining a Nation” (the story of how a group of footballers defined a new nation through football) and “Bravas de Juárez” (the inspiring sacrifices behind the dream of a Latin American women’s soccer team), among countless others, both long and short term.

The FIFA Archive, meanwhile, will be home to all FIFA World Cup™ and FIFA Women’s World Cup™ matches ever recorded. In addition to full match replays, editorial-style programming will also be available, including league game highlights, goal kicks, team-focused programming and dedicated player profiles.

Guy Gibbs, VP of Sales and Operations, Samsung TV Plus and Samsung Ads, Latin America and Asia Pacific, commented: “Establishing alliances strengthens the FAST ecosystem as a whole. The addition of live content from major sporting events is transformative for FAST, providing an even more robust content offering on our Samsung TV Plus platform. This not only attracts a diverse audience, but also creates an excellent opportunity for advertisers to connect with highly engaged viewers.”
