Saudi Arabia and Japan to the AFC U-23 Cup quarter-finals

The Saudi national team reached the quarter-finals of the AFC U-23 Cup, following defeating its UAE counterpart, 2-0, in the last round of the group stage.

Ayman Yahya Salem (57) and Saud Abdel Hamid (90 +3) scored from a penalty kick, the Saudi Greens’ goals.

In the same group, the Japanese team also qualified for the same round, following defeating Tajikistan 3-0.

The Saudi team is at the top of the fourth with 7 points, with a difference in goals. The Japanese team is in the runners-up position, then the UAE is in third place with 3 points, and Tajikistan is in the last place without points.
