Riyadh:Herve Renard, the coach of Saudi Arabia who overthrew Argentina in the first match of the Qatar World Cup, has resigned. The resignation was announced by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. The biggest coup in the Qatar World Cup was the game in which Saudi defeated Argentina. Argentina was defeated 2-1 that day. However, Saudi might not win any of the subsequent matches. Argentina won the crown. Herve Renard, who resigned from Saudi Arabia, will become the coach of the France women’s team. Renard’s move comes as the Women’s Football World Cup is regarding to take place next year.
In 2019, Renard, a Frenchman, became the coach of Saudi Arabia. He has also coached the national teams of Morocco, Zambia, Angola and Ivory Coast before this.
