This is the first time in the history of Indian cinema that a film has been dubbed into Korean.
Song Kang Ho, famous for his Oscar-winning film Parasite, will play the role of George Kuti played by Mohanlal. There are reports that both the films Drishyam and Drishyam 2 will be remade. Although the original of the scene is in Malayalam, it has been announced as a remake of a Hindi film. Director Jeethu Joseph also confirmed the remake information.

After becoming a huge success in Malayalam, the film is being dubbed into various Indian languages. The Hindi movie starring Ajay Devgn as the hero has received a lot of attention. The film will be an Indo-Korean joint venture between Panorama Studios, the makers of the Hindi remake of the Drishyam franchise, and Anthology Studios from South Korea. Anthology Studios is a production company owned by Song Kang Ho and director Kim Joo Woon.
