Third win in a row! Thanks to Terodde, Schalke 04 are back in the Bundesliga and win 2-1 at Dynamo Dresden.
The Royal Blues have competed five times in the metropolis on the Elbe. They left the pitch as losers five times. But in the sixth meeting in the Rudolf Harbig Stadium, Terodde ended the Dresden curse with a brace.
The top second division goalscorer of all time thus increased his goals tally to 21 this season.
torodde! Up until the 45th minute there was almost nothing to be seen of Schalke and their goalscorer. Then Terodde cheated his way into the penalty area after a Dresden blunder in the build-up game and was fouled by Will. And converted Schalke’s first penalty of the season himself. In the 51st minute TORODDE then headed in to make it 2-0.
And dynamo? 30,000 fans whipped the Dresdeners forward in the Harbig Stadium, which was sold out for the first time in over two years. But the table 16 managed more than Will’s goal (70th). not.
Dynamo remains the only team in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga not to have won a game in the second half of the season.
