The first Scientific Conference on Health that takes place in the Military Circle of Caracas, seeks to strengthen the training of medical professionals who serve in the Public Health System.
This was indicated by the national coordinator of the day, América Salazar, during her participation in the Al Aire program broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, where she indicated that eight chapters are being developed, with different specialties, in internal medicine, pediatrics, cardiology, oncology, health public, gynecology, nephrology and surgery.
He explained that the intention is “to provide training to doctors for free, because it is important to highlight that scientific conferences have been held, but in the private sector, and there are activities that are carried out in our 245 hospitals with a specific theme” .
That is why on this occasion, “we have taken all these specialists, we brought them to the capital city to make this great journey.”
Specialists, general practitioners, medical students “we call doctors in training, because they are on their way to choosing postgraduate courses” participate in the conference.
Salazar indicated that for this day, “we have included the medical societies, the scientific federations, they are incorporated into this Day. The private sector is imparting its knowledge.”
When asked about learning about the COVID-19 pandemic, she explained that on the subject of Public Health and Epidemiology, the subject will be addressed, “four specialist speakers will participate there, we also have international speakers from Russia, Cuba, Argentina ”.
In this sense, he added that in this chapter “it is well populated. We have more than 1,200 doctors preparing.” A magisterial presentation is planned by the sectoral vice president of Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez.
Salazar expressed that for this presentation, “we are visited from all the states. He moved us what is the training of doctors. Expectations were exceeded. We want to reach all our doctors.”
