Scientists manage to turn plastic into diamonds

Siegfried Glenzer of the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory in California and his colleagues used PET (polyethylene terephthalate) plastic sheeting of the style used for food and beverage packaging, it is made of petroleum (hydrocarbon ).
