Like every summer, many scout camps have set up their tents in the Verviers region and more particularly in the south of the district. In all, 390 camps for 16,500 participants will take place with us this summer, all movements and federations combined, French-speaking and Dutch-speaking.
Unsurprisingly, it is in the province of Luxembourg that there are the most camps. Then come Namur then Liège almost on a par according to the figures of the Scout Federation.
“There are no fewer camps despite the change in school rhythms. And there are even more camps as the number of members is growing in the different federations,” explains Gilles Beckers, spokesman for the Scouts.
