Scuderia AlphaTauri has denied rumors that it could run a “clone RB19” in the 2024 F1 season due to its close relationship with Red Bull Racing. As part of AlphaTauri’s restructuring agreement with the energy drinks owner earlier this year, the team will forge a closer relationship with Red Bull to become more competitive under its new identity.

This change in stance will not only mean sourcing more customer parts from sister team Red Bull for the 2024 F1 car, but will also eventually bring more aero staff to the UK with a new facility currently in the works. It will appear because of this. Due to the increased synergy with Red Bull Racing, it was pointed out earlier this year that Red Bull could effectively run a clone RB19. However, Scuderia AlphaTauri technical director Jody Egginton denied talk of going that far, saying the number of parts the team would inherit from Red Bull would not be that different. “Since we started Synergy in 2019, the parts we have chosen from the menu have been different and next year will be a little different again,” Egginton said. “Compared to this year, it might be a little bit more. If you compare it to the past few years, it’s probably about the same. “At the end of the day, the customer team has conceptual value to consider. Once you start buying parts, you have to be mindful of your budget. But we are trying to do the best we can, so we will make the most of what is available.” Scuderia AlphaTauri Red Bull Racing There was talk of forging a closer relationship with the club earlier this year, but Egginton doesn’t think there’s anything dramatically new about the process. Eggington says that’s because he has always evaluated which parts to run and which parts to not get. “I’ve sometimes read how it’s been conveyed through the press, but the bottom line is that there are three regulations: competitive, technical and financial.[Red Bull]headquarters are trying to do the best they can. “For a variety of reasons, it’s become a little more open to the public these days, and people are encouraged to look at everything and explore all areas. But there are some things that just aren’t acceptable. “It’s become a little bit more. We’re less competitive, so people say, ‘You’re not fast enough, what are you doing?'” “In 2020 and 2021, the car When we were competitive, it wasn’t talked about as much. We’re sourcing a few parts from Red Bull, but that’s about it.” “Well, we’re encouraged, but we’re not really in control. We’re not doing everything we can, but it’s good that the people at headquarters have our backs and are encouraging both teams to do the best they can under the regulations.”Egginton said that it has not been decided whether the Red Bull parts used by AlphaTauri will be a year old in 2024 or the current model, but the team has already made enough progress with its own new chassis. He said it was clear that progress was being made. “At the end of the day, our aero concept is not the best performing car on the grid, but it’s not significantly different from other cars,” Egginton said. “We know the direction we want to go. There are also some optimizations and other things, but mainly aerodynamics.” “So the chassis will change significantly. But in terms of changing the concept, we know the direction we’re going. We’re also somewhat in line with the direction of the other teams. We just have to be more successful to achieve it.”
