The seasonal flu vaccination campaign for the 2023-2024 season was launched last Sunday, after the acquisition by the Ministry of Health of two million doses of vaccine, intended specifically for vulnerable social categories.

In accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Health, all the establishments concerned, including hospitals, local public health establishments (EPSP) and private pharmacies to which this mission has been entrusted, will take charge of the vaccination operation, knowing that the vaccine is refundable by the National Social Security Fund for people with chronic and immune diseases.

As part of this campaign, it is also a matter of raising awareness among vulnerable categories of the dangers of seasonal flu, in particular elderly people suffering from chronic illnesses such as asthma, cardiovascular diseases as well as pregnant women and children under 5 years old.

To prevent this disease, specialists recommend avoiding busy and poorly ventilated places, washing your hands often, drinking large quantities of lukewarm water, adopting a healthy lifestyle and a healthy diet. .
