Aston Martin F1 Sebastian Vettel had his bag stolen in Barcelona over the weekend of the F1 Spanish Grand Prix.
El Periodico reported that the bag of four-time F1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel was stolen outside the hotel on Monday morning, the day after finishing 11th in the F1 Spanish Grand Prix. Vettel tried to track his belongings, but the thief was throwing his bag out of the car window.
Sebastian Vettel used the Find My iPhone app to track the signal from the AirPods in the bag and tried to chase it on a scooter, but unfortunately only the earphones were found, and the bag and contents. Said he couldn’t find it.
The investigation was reportedly initiated by the local government.
A spokesperson for the Aston Martin F1 confirmed that the incident actually happened.
“Sebastian Vettel’s bag was stolen in Barcelona this morning,” Aston Martin F1 said in a statement.
