Due to the wave of robberies that crosses the area of the School of Medicinefrom the Student Center of the institution began to work on a project that aims to extend the security measures applied in safe corridors.
It is a joint work with a proposal launched from General Secretariat of the Mar del Plata University Federationwhich consists of adding cameras, police booths and adding mobile tours to monitor the area.
In that sense, the Secretary of the Medical Student Center, Tomas Bruno spoke with The Mar del Plata and stated that “In recent times, many cases of insecurity have been happening” and added: “We from the student union are working particularly with a proposal that comes from the General Secretariat of the Marplatense University Federation. It consists of a project to present in relation to what the University Student Ticket is that was recently approved”.
“The idea is that you can expand what is the zone of the safe stops and corridors, to be able to have checkpoints, police passing by and add cameras. Because we have been suffering several cases where colleagues go through cases of insecurity,” Bruno said.
“We study for a long time, sometimes until very late and it becomes dangerous on the way out. There are no cameras in the area. Inside the patio there are but they belong to the Institute of Epidemiology but the idea is to encourage everyone let’s ride in safe conditions“, explained from the Student Center.
