Seduced by Stromae’s performance on TF1’s newscast, Laurent Haulotte however fears the confusion of genres: “A television news is something very codified”

Critics have appeared denouncing the absence of a barrier between information and entertainment.

Like many, Laurent Haulotte greatly appreciated the performance of Stromae in the 20 hours from TF1. It also underlines the nice blow that this represents for the chain. However, as RTL Belgium’s news director, of course, he wonders about the way things were done. Not that artists have no place in the news, on the contrary, he says. “We have it every day at 1 pm. France 2 too.” But in these examples, he emphasizes that we can clearly see the hyphen between the news and the fact of receiving a guest. “There is a credits and the guest can sing, as is the case with Laurent Delahousse.”
