In an interview with RPP, Pizarro explained why he did not invite players who currently play for the Peruvian national team: “We have made the decision not to invite the players from Peru, because it was going to be very complicated because some were going to come and others were not. So that’s what I didn’t want. That is where the idea of doing it in Peru comes from, because for me it is important to enjoy with the players who have been in the National Team, in Alianza and in Pesquero”.
