Seine et Marne. In Fontainebleau, an innovative and collective approach to better care for patients

It is better to prevent in order to heal better. Here is the formula that seems the most suitable for defining the Fontainebleau Health Prevention Center (CPSF) (Seine-et-Marne). This structure, open in the summer of 2021, offers comprehensive support for patients with various disciplines, but also a place for research in prevention and a dedicated training center.

Teamwork

At the origin of this project, Dr. Georgia Guedj. This practitioner, installed in 2016 in the city center of Fontainebleau, offered – in addition to these classic consultations – a preventive approach to nutrition (overweight, TCA etc.), sleep medicine (apnea, insomnia) or aesthetic medicine (hirsutism, scars, post-cancer reconstruction).

« I can’t stand doing prescriptions at all-va, says Dr. Georgia Guedj. It is on the basis of this principle that I imagined a structure to do something upstream for the patients. Health begins with simple things: eat well, sleep well or play sports. »

During the first confinement, it then began to specify the contours of its future prevention center, installed boulevard Foch. But for a more global vision, it selects disciplines likely to provide added value in care. “A sports coach can have a complementary approach, illustrates Georgia Guedj. I targeted disciplines that seemed essential to me: dietetics, psychology, sexology, art therapy, sophrology, hypnosis, socio-aesthetics, etc. A way to rely on their expertise. »

In total, The CPSF is currently made up of about twenty practitioners, but also relies on an association (see box) and a training center in health prevention. “The ambition of the CPSF is to seek out new care proposals,” she insists. A way to develop and advance prevention practices. »

Art at the service of health

The Fontainebleau Health Prevention Center also relies on the Health-Arts association. This one was born in order to offer well-being workshops, thanks to an artistic approach. “The idea is to go further than a strictly medical approach with always the same objective, to advance research in health prevention, explains Dr. Georgia Guedj. Thanks to the emulation of all the actors, we can improve practices. » Circus arts, yoga, art therapy, image consultant, sculptor, opera singer, cooking therapy, sophrology: around ten workshops are offered for work on emotions, always linked to prevention. And in order to present the research work, the CPSF publishes a quarterly review, including the next number First health prevention center, to appear in the spring (on sale at the Michel de Fontainebleau bookshop). “This publication is a way of highlighting our progress,” she reveals.

“virtuous circle”

Among the care offers of the structure, burn-out health networks, evening aesthetics-esteem, sleep disorders, help for children, food or even post-cancer follow-up care. “Prevention is not only about intervening upstream of the disease, reminds Dr Georgia Guedj. This also takes into account comorbidities (diseases or disorders added to the initial illness, editor’s note) or the side effects. »

For Clotilde Garnier, make-up artist and dermographer who consults at the CPSF, “the structure is a virtuous circle with the patient at the center. This professional offers in particular 3D tattooing on the breast areola, after an ablation following breast cancer and the fitting of a prosthesis. “We can create bridges,” she continues. I can then direct the patients to a socio-hairdresser who offers to make wigs. »

The structure is also scalable and could soon complete its care offer. “I would soon like to work with a gynecologist,” concludes Georgia Guedj. If the latter is the coordinator of the center, the structure is exclusively composed of liberal practitioners.
