Senior 35 Night Football Championship revived in Chillán – La Discusión 2024-02-13 07:25:21

The “Municipal Summer Night Championship 2024” tournament will bring together 16 urban and rural institutions affiliated with the National Amateur Football Association (ANFA), Chillán reported Mayor Camilo Benavente.

The participating teams are part of the Cordillera League, which includes rural sectors of the regional capital such as Quinquehua, Santa Raquel, Capilla Cox, Ñuble Alto and the Poniente Delegation.

The mayor highlighted: “we have incorporated the rural sectors into an activity that, in addition to having a sporting nature, has a territorial nature. We have seen that always in the history of the city, sports activities have been developed in the towns, with a large presence of people, with a large audience, with massive activities and that is why we determined together with the management to hold this competition where amateur football clubs participate. ”.

The person in charge of Sports of the Municipality of Chillán, Hernán Blasco, highlighted that in this sporting event “clubs with great local roots such as Unión Campesina, Las Coles, Quinchamalí, Confluencia, among others will be represented.”

“We are very happy for the transversality and integration that we are giving to this championship, where many sports institutions will be present, in this case football in our community,” Blasco added.

The finals, highlighted Mayor Camilo Benavente, will be held at the Nelson Oyarzún Arenas Stadium, which will give greater prominence to this sporting event.

The matches, indicated the authority, “will take place throughout the month of February in the Anfa, El Roble and Ultraestación stadiums. And to play the finals, both 3rd and 4th place, as well as 1st and 2nd, at the Nelson Oyarzún Arenas Stadium, on Thursday, February 29.”
