Fatorda: The Kerala Blasters squad for the ISL Development League starting next week in Goa has been announced. The Blasters have announced a 23-man squad, including senior players Ayush Adhikari, Sanjeev Stalin, Bijoy, Givson Singh, Vince Barreto and Sachin Suresh. Malayalee players Roshan Gigi, Sreekuttan and Ebin Das are also in the team. The players that the Malayalees are looking forward to are part of the squad.
The development league will start on Friday. The Blasters’ first match is against Hyderabad on Saturday. The top two finishers in the tournament will have the opportunity to compete in the Next Generation Cup in England. The Blasters are coached by Thomas Shores. TG Purushothaman is the co-coach.

KSEB falls; Golden Threads win Kerala Premier League title
Kozhikode: Golden Threads won the Kerala Premier League title. Golden Threads defeated KSEB by two goals in a match played at Kozhikode Corporation Stadium. Both goals were scored in extra time when the allotted time ended goalless. Ajay Alex scored in the 109th minute and Ihsak Noah Seidu in the next minute. Threads were state club champions in 2012 before coming to the KPL. It is also their maiden crown.
Alex’s goal came from a free kick. Threads got a free kick for knocking down Asif Shaheer on the left side of the box. They answered every mistake with a single freekick. Ajay Alex’s sharp kick made Ajmal a spectator and went to the right corner. Nuhu also made amends in the 119th minute. The answer to all the mistakes so far. The midfielder, who cut three defenders, secured the Premier League title.
When the two teams came face to face in the group stage, KSEB won. For the first time in history, 22 teams competed in the league. Total 113 games. Threads Ghanaian striker Nuhu Sayed won the Golden Boot with 12 goals. Ajay Alex became the star of the final.
