Serious car accident of the Bulgarian team in Georgia

The midfielder of the national team Bulgaria Todor Nedelev29, today suffered a head injury as a result of a traffic accident in Georgia, where he arrived to participate in a League of Nations match.

According to the Georgian portal sportall.ge, the Bulgarian national team was on its way to the hotel on board two buses, when the first braked abruptly and was hit by the second.

As a result of this, Nedelev, who was traveling on board the second bus, suffered a head injury. The athlete underwent emergency surgery, and after two hours of surgery, during which several glass shards were removed from his head, he was admitted.

Nedelev, who plays for Botev Plovdiv, is out of danger and will be hospitalized for two weeks.

The footballer has participated in 44 matches for the national team, during which he has scored five goals. No other player of the Bulgarian national team suffered injuries.

The League of Nations match between Georgia and Bulgaria will be held this Sunday at the Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi with a capacity of more than 54,000 people.
