A mass brawl broke out in the Adriatic seaside resort of Lignano on Sunday night. For reasons that are still unclear, a major scuffle broke out on the beach promenade, involving around 70 people who attacked each other with objects, including bottles and broken glass. A 20-year-old has been taken to Udine hospital with head injuries, where he is now in serious condition.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the brawl. The carabinieri try to locate those involved with the help of video surveillance cameras.
