Exchange, networking and knowledge transfer: From March 12th to 14th, the Jeunes Restaurateurs (JRE) service manager day took place in the romantic hotel “Meisenheimer Hof”. Around 30 employees from 20 companies in the association came together to receive further training and exchange ideas with colleagues from other companies.

The new board would like to offer its members and employees in the companies as many and enriching JRE moments as possible. The first highlight this year was the service manager day at JRE treasurer Markus Pape in the Meisenheimer Hof.

The program included an informal exchange on the subject of online reservation systems and a presentation on “Smart Restaurant: The Way to the Future”. In addition, the participants might look forward to a four-course menu with accompanying wines and a Parmesan tasting with Parmigiano Reggiano.

In the evening, Markus Pape invited the service managers to a city tour with a tour of his hotel and restaurant.

A positive conclusion

At the end of the event, host Markus Pape drew a positive conclusion: “The service manager day was a complete success. Everyone was highly motivated and interested. We discussed a lot with each other in large groups and exchanged ideas on a technical level.”

There was also very good feedback from the participants. “Especially following the Corona pandemic, during which many events were not possible, we now have to organize many personal encounters within the JRE and promote mutual exchange,” says Markus Pape, who has been head chef at the Romantikhotel Meisenheimer Hof since 2014.
