Seven people were charged with alleged drug micro-trafficking

Asuncion, IP.- The prosecutor of the San Antonio Zonal Unit, María José Pérez, charged seven people with alleged drug micro-trafficking. They were all arrested by agents of the Micro-trafficking Reduction Unit of the National Anti-Drug Secretariat (Senad).

The defendants for violating Law 1340/8 are: Martín Talavera, 49 years old, María Nancy Acosta, 29 years old, María Estela Acosta, Silvia Riquelme, 55 years old, Romina Riquelme, 23 years old, Fabiana González Riquelme, 23 years old, and Hugo Rodas Cabral, 24 years old. The representative of the Public Prosecutor’s Office requested that the Criminal Court of Guarantees order the preventive detention of the defendants.

Senad agents carried out simultaneous raids in two houses located in the San Roque 4 settlement, in the city of San Antonio. In one of the houses, belonging to Acosta, a total of 43 crack stones were found, distributed in bags ready for sale, and cash, in low-denomination bills.

On Riquelme’s property, 13 crack stones ready for sale, homemade pipes, and cell phone devices were found.
