Damascus – In Syria, several people were killed in a car bomb explosion at a Shiite Muslim holy site. Syrian state media reported a bomb in a vehicle exploded in front of the mausoleum of Sajeda Seinab south of Damascus on Thursday. A TV reporter spoke of up to six fatalities. A local resident told Archyde.com he heard a loud explosion around 5:30 p.m. local time, following which security forces cordoned off the area.
