several guests end up in hospital over lasagna, bride and caterer charged

Organized in February, the ceremony had turned into a disaster during a wedding in the United States. Several guests had been taken to hospital because THC was present in the food served on the day of the event.

One of the guests, Virginia Ann Taylor-Svoboda, told Fox News she filed a lawsuit against the reception’s caterer after she suffered ‘severe and permanent injuries’ after consuming the wedding food . She claims more than 30,000 dollars (29,000 euros) in damages.

Upon arriving at the scene on February 19, the police found guests there who said they felt “high”. One of them also explained that he had the feeling of having “drugs in him”, when he had only consumed food and wine during the wedding. Several guests ended the evening at the hospital.

Samples of the food served were then taken and sent to the laboratory for analysis. The results clearly showed that the lasagna and bread served with the meal were positive for THC, the main compound in cannabis.

Catering manager Jocelyn Bryant was charged in April. The bride, Danya Glenny, was also charged, but not her husband.
