It turned out that there they met Marie-Anne and her husband Frederic Thiebaud who helped them while enjoying the beauty of the country.

Togetherness also makes their relationship even closer, between wives and husbands.

“Fred and Mutt are great friends, as are Marie-Anne and I,” she said in an interview with Oprah.

However, after the holiday moment, their relationship in their household became more tenuous. He also tried to confide in his best friend, Marie-Anne.

In 2008, they both agreed to divorce.

“I asked Marie-Anne if she noticed my husband was acting weird? She said no at all,” she recalls.

Until finally Frederic Thiebaud found out if Marie-Anne had a secret relationship with Mutt. He was quite calm about it and asked both of them to tell Shania Twain.

Shania, who was hurt because she felt betrayed by her best friend and husband, tried to calm herself down. He also sent Thiebaud a letter as a thank you for making the two open it.

Over time, his relationship with Thiebaud turned into seeds of love.

“At first I refused, but I could feel the sincerity of Thiebaud’s love for me and he made me fall in love very easily,” he explained.

The two got engaged in 2010 after a year of dating. A year later they decided to get married and settled in Switzerland, the place where the two first met.
