Sharja hosts rare Arabic manuscript exhibition

An exhibition of rare Arabic manuscripts is being held in Sharjah. The manuscripts kept in the El Escorial Library in Spain were brought to Sharjah by the accused. The exhibition will end on the 9th of this month. Sharjah hosts rare Arabic manuscript exhibition

The rare collections of Spain’s El Escorial Library are being exhibited in another country for the first time. Writings from the 13th century have been brought to Sharjah. 15 writings including religious books and philosophical writings on various subjects of medicine have been put on display.

UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasmi inaugurated the exhibition. Sharjah Book Authority Chairman Ahmed Bin Rakad Al Ameri said that the exhibition was organized with pride. The exhibition is jointly organized by Sharjah Book Authority and El Escorial Library. The exhibition at the Sharjah Book Authority headquarters will conclude on the ninth of this month.
