Sharjah, October 20 / WAM / The Sharjah Government Pavilion reviewed sustainable and proactive projects at the conclusion of the GITEX 2023 exhibition in Dubai.

Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Digital Office, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Sharjah Government Pavilion at GITEX 2023, visited a number of pavilions participating in the exhibition, to learn about the latest innovative technologies provided by government agencies in the Emirates.

To serve as a comprehensive platform for all sustainable tourism needs in the emirate, in line with its strategy aimed at enhancing Sharjah’s position to become a leading sustainable tourism destination. This project aims to raise awareness about sustainable tourism as an important focus, educate the public, individuals and companies, about its impact on the sector, and promote their best practices through the content provided, as well as providing them with an electronic tool on the website that helps them calculate their carbon footprint in Sharjah.
