Sharp announced the Android smartphone “AQUOS R8”. It will be released from NTT Docomo following the end of July. The price is expected to be announced by DoCoMo in the future.
Main specs
The OS to be installed is Android 13. The chipset is Qualcomm’s “Snapdragon 8 Gen 2” with 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage. The display size is regarding 6.4 inches (FHD +, Pro IGZO OLED).
The out camera is equipped with a dual camera of regarding 50.3 million pixels standard camera (F1.9) and 13 million pixels wide angle camera (F2.3) equipped with “HEKTOR lens” supervised by Leica. The in-camera is a single camera (F2.0) with approximately 8 million pixels.
It supports DSDV of nanoSIM and eSIM. Wi-Fi supports IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax and supports Bluetooth version 5.3.
There are two color variations, cream and blue. The size and weight of the main body will be announced once more in the future. The battery size is 4570mAh. It has a waterproof and dustproof function equivalent to IPX5/8 and IP6X. Biometric authentication supports face authentication (mask compatible) and fingerprint authentication. Osaifu-Keitai can be used.
