Mystery still surrounds the circumstances of her death, so that the mystery of Cinderella’s death, Soad Hosni, remains until this moment one of the most important puzzles that shocked and surprised the artistic community alike, leaving and burying with her the secret of her mysterious departure.
The star had fallen on June 20, 2001 from the balcony of her apartment on the sixth floor of the building in which she was staying in London.
It was stated in Soad Hosni’s memoirs that Safwat Al-Sharif filmed 18 pornographic films for her during the period of her cooperation with the Egyptian intelligence, and that the late Libyan colonel
Muammar Gaddafi offered 100 million pounds to buy her, and she also confirmed that she informed Hosni Mubarak of the harassment of “Al-Sharif”, and instead of keeping him away from her, he sent him to her in London, where she quarreled with him and wounded him with a knife.
Souad began her journey with Officer Safwat al-Sharif in 1964, when he requested her in his office and approached her about working with him to serve the public interest.

Souad said that the number of films that Safwat Al-Sharif filmed for her amounted to 18 black and white films, the duration of the film being 15 minutes, and it was prepared in a clinic for this purpose.
After the official working hours, the relationship was normal with a friend of hers. She discovered in Safwat’s office that he was an agent who had been recruited to lure her after he put her in a drink.
Writer Tawheed Magdy says that Souad Hosni mentioned in the last chapter of her memoirs that Gaddafi offered Safwat Al-Sharif in 2000 to buy her set of films, of which Safwat kept a copy, for 100 million Egyptian pounds.
Safwat promised him that the time would be right, and that Saif al-Islam Gaddafi had seen the films with Safwat, and that was a major reason for her agreeing to write memoirs to be a defense of her honor and her name in front of her lovers against Safwat al-Sharif.
Safwat Al-Sharif admitted to recruiting Souad Hosni among a large group of Egyptian movie stars in the sixties with the aim of exploiting them in works contrary to public morals to obtain information that would benefit the Egyptian intelligence during the rule of Gamal Abdel Nasser.
After the 1967 defeat, which brought down the intelligence service to which he belonged under a nom de guerre called “Mawafi”, Al-Sharif admitted his role in recruiting female artists and was sentenced to prison for the transgressions he committed.
